However, a complete solution on which a prospective customer can fall back is absent. A previous analysis is required to be able to offer in each case the right technology and the right product for the right price.

Bicycle theft tracking with mobile RFID handhelds tt8000
In cooperation with the company IQUE in the Netherlands the largest project in Europe in pursuit of stolen bicycles has been realized. The bikes are equipped with an RFID LF Tag / Chip, the data is stored in a central database and can thus easily be assigned to the owner. Every year in the Netherlands millions of bicycles are stolen.
The police is thanks to the implemented solution (with mobile handhelds tt8000 of t + t netcom) able to find the registered owner (in real time) and thus avoids substantial administration and storage costs. The owner is pleased of course, that his property quickly is in his possession.
Meanwhile, other countries have addressed the issue and consider an introduction. In Scandinavia, similar projects are being tested. Switzerland also has an interest in the Dutch project (see article).
